This is delicious. I am not going to lie and say it tastes just like the real nutella, but it is a fantastic option for us sweet tooths out there. Its great on toast, topped with some banana - you can use it as a dip - or have it on your smoothie bowl or oatmeal.. DELICIOUS. So if that sounds like something you'd like, give it a try, you won't regret it ...

 

 

 

What you need:

  • 200g of Hazelnuts

  • 2 tbsp of cacao powder

  • 5 tbsp of sweetener (I used a mix of agave, honey and rice syrup) 

  • A pinch of salt

  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla (optional)

 

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, then roast the hazelnuts for about 10 minutes

  2. Remove them from the oven, then peel the skin off by rubbing them between your hands or use a kitchen towel to do so

  3. Let cool for a while, then put into a blender for at least 5-7 minutes, until smooth (be sure to scrape the sides every now and then)

  4. Add in the sweetener - blend - then the cacao powder and blend again

  5. If it becomes lumpy add 1-2 tbsp of water and blend again

  6. Pour in a jar and store in the fridge

  7. ENJOY ✨
