I found my love for chai lattes back in Australia, and finally tried to make some at home.. It turned out a lot nicer than expected to be honest, so heres the recipe:

- 2 cups of water

- 2 cups of milk (i used oat milk)

- 1/3 cup of cashews

- 1 tsp of fennel

- 1 tsp of cardamom

- 1/2 tsp of black pepper

- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon (or use one cinnamon stick)

- 1/4 tsp of vanilla

- 1/2 tsp of turmeric

- 2-3 slices of fresh ginger (peeled)

- 2 black tea bags

- 1 tbsp of honey (or agave/maple syrup for the vegan option)

  1. In order to make this chai latte a little creamier in the end: so be sure to soak the cashews at least 4 hours in advance

  2. Start by bringing the water to a simmer, then add all dry ingredients, but the black tea bags

  3. Let simmer for around 3 minutes, then add the milk and honey

  4. Let simmer for another minute or so, then add the black tea bags

  5. Let sit for another 2-3 minutes

  6. Have a sip, then add more honey for sweetness, or water/milk in case the taste is to intense for you

  7. Let it cool a little, then pour the chai into a blender, and add the soaked cashews - blend until super smooth

  8. Now reheat the chai, or drink it luke warm or even iced

  9. ENJOY.
